Do you know how long it took me to come up with that headline? 10 minutes, 10 freaking minutes, I swear. I sat there like a mouth breathing moron trying my damnedest to come up with the perfect way to describe the Cadillac Calais, and what I ended up with is what you see above.

Is it the perfect description? Hell no, I bet you Dx2 eMuro or Torch could come up with something far more clever in less than 60 seconds, but that’s why they’re front pagers, and I’m, well I’m here.

I had fun researching the specifics of the Calais, mostly because I didn’t know much about the car other than that it looked like a De Ville. In fact until I wrote this piece, I thought the Calais was the same thing as a De Ville, but as it turns out that’s not entirely true. It just so happens that De Villes are the same thing as a Calais, at least from ‘73 onwards they were.

If you’re confused, don’t worry, you should be. After all, this is the Malaise Era were talking about, nothing makes sense!
